Santa Cruz River Farmers Market
After another buttery and sugary holiday eating season, I am so ready for some greens and winter vegetables. Tucson's wonderful Santa Cruz Farmers Market is just the place to graze the greens and winter vegetables to bring some good food to your kitchen. And there is freshly roasted coffee, baked goods, pasta, art and live music as well. Today starting at 3:00pm at the Mercado San Agustin on Congress Street just west of the freeway.
Odyssey Storytelling Tonight at the Screening Room
It is the first Thursday of the month in Tucson and that means it is Odyssey Storytelling time at the Screening Room downtown on Congress Street. Each month, six storytellers take the stage to tell (not read!) a 10 minute story on the topic of the month. This month's topic is Labor, and you never know how the storyteller will interpret the subject for their story. If you have never been to an Odyssey Storytelling event, you are missing out on some fun and hearing from some very...very...interesting Tucsonans. The fun starts at 7:00pm tonight at 127 East Congress.
"Curb appeal" is a term that has long been around in real estate. A home only gets one chance to make that great first impression when a potential buyer drives up. But in this day of the internet, on-line Tucson MLS, Realtor.com, Zillow and Trulia the notion of "curb appeal" begins even before the potential buyer gets out of their living room chair.
Most Tucson home buyers begin their search online and screen out many prospective houses before they even leave their homes. So I now use a professional photographer when developing my Tucson home listings for presentation on the various internet sites. They present my Seller's home in the best light (no pun intended) and with some wonderful perspectives that an agent with a cell phone camera can't begin to approach.
So ask your prospective agent...who takes your photos?
