Tucson Homes Market Edges Up a Bit in August

After taking a breather in mid-summer, the Tucson homes market picked up a bit in August. A harbinger of a bountiful Autumn, perhaps?
The number of homes sold in July was 1,413, up 1.29% from July's 1,395.  Prices were up as well with the average sales price up a slight 0.82% from July and up 4.6% from August a year ago. New listings took a nice jump, with 1,925 new homes coming on the market, up 14.79% from July.  That is good news for buyer's who have been watching new homes get snapped up within a few days.
Total homes under contract was down an ever so slight 0.45% which may partially reflect the lack of homes on the market. For the full monthly August Tucson MLS stats check out August Tucson Homes Stats
