It seems like we all just take a deep breath in mid-summer in Tucson. The students and snow birds are gone, the outdoor festivals and indoor cultural events take a pause, restaurants give us special slow-time discounts and now even the Tucson real estate market has decided to take a mid-summer breather.
The number of homes sold in July was 1,395, down 14.84% from June's 1,638. Prices were down as well with the average sales price down 6.72% from June but still up 4% over one year ago. New listings took a breather as well, with 1,677 new homes coming on the market, down 4.99% from June. Total homes under contract was down 7.5%, so we might see this breather to continue into the August statistics. For the full monthly July Tucson MLS stats check out Tucson July Homes Stats
