Fun Things in Tucson for Labor Day Weekend

The monsoons have shut down for the weekend and the heat is back. It is a good time for one last escape from the heat to Mt. Lemmon, the White Mountains or even San Diego.  But for those still here in Tucson this weekend, here are a few cool things to do:

Last Chance!  Desert Museum Summer Evenings Tonight

It is all about the bats at the final Desert Museum Saturday evening event for this summer. See the live bats, hear the informative presentations, let the kids do bat-themed crafts and end the evening with a  bat-themed birthday cake for the Museum's 62nd birthday. The fun begins at 6pm.  Click the link for more info:

Labor Day Pancake Birthday Breakfast at the Desert Museum

And come back to the Desert Museum on Sunday morning to celebrate the museum's 62nd birthday with a special pancake breakfast from 8am to 11am. Enjoy a full breakfast (pancakes, chorizo & egg, bacon and fresh fruit) at the Ironwood Terraces & Ocotillo Cafe, them roam the grounds for a Sunday visit with the animals.

Hotel Congress Summer Beer Tastings (Beers of Bisbee)

Cool off with some tasty beer samplings at the Hotel Congress Saturday night.  This week's event features the beers of Bisbee AZ.  The tasting fun starts at 5pm.  And try out the new streetcar tonight and explore the rest of downtown, 4th Avenue and the Mercado district.   Beers of Bisbee at the Hotel Congress
