Tucson Homes Stat of the Week: Mortgage Rates Drop...Again

Just when a lot of potential Tucson home buyers were going into panic mode over rising mortgage interest,
rates slipped a bit for the second week in a row.

In Freddie Mac's weekly mortgage market report, 30 year fixed rate mortgages averaged 4.31% with an average of 0.8 point, down a bit from last week's 4.37% average.  15-year fixed rate mortgages averaged 3.39% with an average of 0.8 point, slipping from last week's 3.41%.

Just Sold! 2491 N Camino De Oeste

I have driven by this hilltop home in the Tucson Mountains for years and was thrilled that I was able to bring the buyers when it came on to the market.  The wrap-around porch with magnificent Tucson and Catalina Mountain views was a big selling point with me (and the my clients) and the large 3.3 acre lot, beautiful entry courtyard and beamed ceilings (rumored to be from an old mine in Bisbee!) added to the allure.

With three bedrooms, two baths and a dramatic living room with a wall of windows overlooking Tucson, this wonderful west side Tucson home near Gates Pass sold for $280,000.

Fun Things in Tucson: 4th of July on Mt. Lemmon

If you are feeling the Tucson heat today, head up to the cool pines of Mt. Lemmon for their annual 4th of July parade in Summerhaven.  I hear there will be a petting zoo and pony rides.  And of course the Tucson Concert Band will be there to add a musical bent to the fun. The parade starts at noon.
