Celebrate Tucson's 238th Birthday at Mission Gardens and Mercado San Agustin this Sunday Morning


Come celebrate Tucson's 238th birthday and the rebirth of the Mission Garden this Sunday morning, August 26th at the Mercado San Agustin on West Congress Street.
A traditional breakfast of torta de huevo, tepary beans, home made tortillas, pan dulce and horchata will be served beginning at 7:30am at the Mercado San Agustin.
Then stroll over to tour the recently rebuilt and replanted Mission Garden, which features many heritage plants.
 
The event runs from 7:30 am to 9:30 am.  And you will have the opportunity to buy heritage plans for your own home garden.   Tickets are $20 at the door.

Santa Cruz Farmers Market Features Summer Produce

Summer crops are in full swing this week at the Santa Cruz Farmers Market.  Tomatoes, summer squash, chiles, sweet peppers, eggplant, melons and heirloom vegetables will be available from several local growers.  Located in the Mercado San Agustin just west of I-10 on Congress Street, the market features fresh produce, baked goods and plants for your own garden.  The market is open from 4pm to 7pm each Thursday.
